The Gargano is a land rich in history, culture and nature. Set off from Rodi Garganico and discover the picturesque sights the Gargano has to offer.
Gargano is not just the sea!
A stay in Gargano is incomplete without an excursion to the Tremiti Islands and the Foresta Umbra, the Gargano's two great natural features, and a boat trip along the coast with all its fantastic sea grottoes. A visit to the picturesque historic towns and shrines of San Michele Arcangelo in Monte Sant'Angelo and San Pio da Pietrelcina in San Giovanni Rotondo is also a must.
There is a splendid view of the coast with its many inlets and beaches of coloured pebbles sheltered by white rock walls plunging down to the sea and pines that are mirrored in the dark blue of the deep water that softens the azure sky. But the greatest spectacle is that of the many beautiful grottoes carved over millennia by the sea and wind out of this unique stretch of coast. And after you have admired all the cliffs, rocks and inlets, it comes time to plunge into the transparent sea.
